Being the lazy luddite I am, I do still have a video player, and it can handle NTSC tapes (part of the reason I bought it in the first place), but I'm not sure it can handle "crusty" tapes. Ew. :P

I didn't actually realise Sirtis was a Brit until I heard her talking with her normal, London accent in the behind-the-scenes stuff. Very disconcerting, for some reason... but not as disconcerting as seeing LeVar Burton with eyes!

Good tip about Netflix, thanks!

And I think the introduction of The Borg more than compensates for the lingering presence of Wesley... especially since it eventually leads to the introduction of Seven-of-Nine. :)

I probably have a great many TNG episodes on crusty NTSC VHS cassettes. Would you like those? :-D

I'm reminded of Denise Crosby's Playboy spread some years before the series--good heavens, does that meet Star Fleet bylaws? And someone on Twitter recently asked Marina Sirtis if she'd done any nude scenes. She answered the question sufficiently by saying "Most British actresses have!"

I remember being surprised to learn who Michelle Phillips was following that episode. There were some interesting surprises in the guest cast on that series! (Then there was the time my next-door neighbor from college suddenly appeared on Voyager as himself. How many people appear in Trek episodes under their own auspices? And I had recorded a couple of songs with this guy years before. Completely bizarre!)

Well every single one of the series is on Netflix right now, although the DVD's are nicer (because of the extras). I managed to get through most of them (including, dun dun dun!, Enterprise) before the new Abrams movie came out. I think of all of them, TNG holds up amazingly well - even with Wesley Crusher! :D

Good point! I'd totally forgotten about K'Ehleyr... although while I was writing the above post, I did keep thinking "Didn't Worf have a son at one point?" As I say, I haven't watched the show for ages, so all of that information seems to have leaked out of my brain. The problem now is that I want to watch all the subsequent seasons, to refresh my memory... and then all of "Voyager", too! I don't have access to those boxsets though, so it will just have to remain a geeky itch at the back of my brain.

I loved this post! And wow - I had no idea about the stunt woman. I really like K'Ehleyr in the later seasons (even though she only shows up a few times). I think, as a Klingon/Human character, she was MUCH more interesting than B'Elanna. Nothing against B'Elanna, I just thought K'Ehleyr was more badass.
